ICON Design Completes Work For Moon Lake Electric
UtahBusiness.com, January 10, 2010
ICON Design announced the completion of a new administration building for Roosevelt, Utah-based Moon Lake Electric Association, a rural electric cooperative that serves customers in the Uintah Basin and Western Colorado. The scope of work encompassed 21,000 square feet and included interior design, finishes and furniture bidding. The design firm collaborated with SL&A Architects. Big-D Construction was the contractor for both the administration building and a new operations complex.
“The client started with a clean slate and wanted an upscale design,” said Ronda Landa, principal of ICON Design. “They also needed the design to be practical and durable for employees who work in the field but also come to the office to work, while at the same time serving clients who come to pay an electric bill. The design succeeds in achieving a progressive yet approachable functionality.”
Working with local architectural firms that do not employ interior designers, ICON Design, Inc., specializes in signature interior designs through form and function for the corporate, institutional, and medical industries. The firm’s capabilities range from small lobby remodels to new buildings and tenant improvement projects.

ICON Design Completes Project for Vista Staffing Solutions
Utah Business Magazine, January 2007.
ICON Design, Inc., which specializes in signature interior designs, has completed project management and interior design for the new corporate headquarters of VISTA Staffing Solutions, located at 275 E. 200 South.
The 48,000 square foot design/build project was unique because the firm was hired to coordinate design development and furniture selection prior to site selection.
New Concepts Construction and Sam Brady Architects served as project partners.
“We knew it was going to be fast track once the building was selected, which occurred in early July, because VISTA had to move by Thanksgiving,” says Ronda Landa, principal of ICON. “At that point we had nearly completed design development and furniture specifications. The architect was brought in to do the construction documents and New Concepts began demolition immediately. Thanks goes to the client and broker, Collin Perkins of NAI Real Estate, who understood the importance of hiring ICON before knowing where they were going to end up, and beginning the design phases early in the process.”
“We were determined to make our new office space reflect our brand, just as our employees and our service reflect our brand,” says VISTA President Mark Brouse. “Ronda worked with us to create a comfortable, professional space that really looks and feels like VISTA. We have large, state-of-the-art cubicles, relaxing retreats for brainstorming meetings, tall tables for quick scheduling sessions. It’s a diverse, functional space and our employees are really enjoying it. Ronda was responsive and accountable and helped get our new office together in record time.”
According to Landa, the functional space was accomplished by using Herman Miller VIVO furniture.
