ICON Design announced the completion of a new administration building for Roosevelt, Utah-based Moon Lake Electric Association, a rural electric cooperative that serves customers in the Uintah Basin and Western Colorado. The scope of work encompassed 21,000 square feet and included interior design, finishes and furniture bidding. The design firm collaborated with SL&A Architects. Big-D Construction was the contractor for both the administration building and a new operations complex.

“The client started with a clean slate and wanted an upscale design,” said Ronda Landa, principal of ICON Design. “They also needed the design to be practical and durable for employees who work in the field but also come to the office to work, while at the same time serving clients who come to pay an electric bill. ICON Design, Inc. has partnered with Salt Lake City-based SL&A Architects to provide interior design, furnishings and art package for the Page Brake manufacturing and distribution center. ICON Design's contract consists of a 20,000-­square-foot office space.

Commercial interior designer ICON Design will manage the development of 14 retail spaces at Jordan Landing, 7000 S. Bangerter Highway, in West Jordan. ICON will work as a liaison between California-based retail developer Foursquare Properties and individual tenants, obtain construction bids and coordinate design completion.

Salt Lake City - ICON Design, Inc. will serve as designer for the Riverton Rehabilitation Center located at 3401 W. 12600 South. The design firm will select all interior furnishings, design finishes, lighting and signage.

Salt Lake City, Utah -- Ronda Landa, principal of ICON Design, has been awarded a contract to serve as designer for Maurilios Italian Cuisine, a restaurant located at 1650 West Fox Point Drive in West Jordan. ICON will select interior design finishes from shell to completion. The building, which had previously been damaged by fire, is owned by Draper-based Bach Builders. Smith Layton Architects is the architect. Completion is slated for July.

“The design captures the feel of a small, Italian café—colorful, quaint and cozy,” said Landa.

The 48,000 square foot design/build project was unique because the firm was hired to coordinate design development and furniture selection prior to site selection.

New Concepts Construction and Sam Brady Architects served as project partners.

“We knew it was going to be fast track once the building was selected, which occurred in early July, because VISTA had to move by Thanksgiving,” says Ronda Landa, principal of ICON. “At that point we had nearly completed design development and furniture specifications. The architect was brought in to do the construction documents and New Concepts began demolition immediately. Thanks goes to the client and broker, Collin Perkins of NAI Real Estate, who understood the importance of hiring ICON before knowing where they were going to end up, and beginning the design phases early in the process.”

ICON Design announced that designer Ronda Landa was awarded a contract as a designer for Commonwealth Place Condominiums, 800 S. 200 East.
Icon will select exterior materials and provide interior designs for the common area and the condo used for a sales model. The project is slated for completion in the first quarter of 2007.

Ronda Landa IIDA, principal of ICON Design, and architect Kevin Blalock, Blalock & Partners, both of Salt Lake City, have collaborated on four projects. New projects completed by the firms are LAM Research, located in the Lehi, Utah-based Dry Creek Development, and the medical offices of Drs. Allan Baugh, Jake Bromley, and Mark Elkins, located at the South Valley Professional Office Building in Riverton, Utah. ICON provided interior finish consultation.

Ronda Landa, principal of ICON Design, and Evans & Associates, both of Salt Lake City, have completed work on the newly constructed Bach Corporate Headquarters in Draper, Utah. ICON provided furniture selection as well as interior finishes for the common areas of the building including lobby, restrooms, and elevators. Evans served as architect. The firms collaborated on tenant improvements. This is Bach's first commercial office building and ICON's first project with the company. Bach is a multi- and single-family housing developer in four states.

ICON Design and architectural firm EVANS & ASSOCIATES are redesigning the interior and exterior of EDGEWATER CORPORATE PARK, located at the Salt Lake International Center. The north and south tower lobbies will be redesigned using an "industrial chic" theme.

Salt Lake City firms ICON Design and Evans & Associates have completed work on the Bach Corporate Headquarters, 11650 S. State St., Draper. ICON provided furniture selection and interior finishes for common areas in the building. Evans & Associates was the architect.

ICON Design and Evans & Associates have been granted a contract to redesign the interior and exterior of Edgewater Corporate Park, formerly known as Lakeside Towers. Located at the Salt Lake International Center, the buildings will be remade this month with an industrial chic theme.
